Pros

Red Hat is a special place, with many special people working there and a very special company culture. Open source is the core of its business and if you like an open culture and environment, Red Hat is the place for you.

Cons

Working outside of the HQ can sometimes feel to work in a satellite office, you are more or a receiver of orders from the HQ than the center. Also the culture has changed a lot the last years with share holder value being the top priority. Also they don't pay as much as competitors.

Pros

Working for a great company that focuses on new technology not just the stock market. You learn something new every day and the company backs you all teh way. Working here as a developer is a great experience.

Cons

Not all postions are as well paid as the industry standard.
