Pros

Engineers are very bright and very dedicated. Really fun to work with them. Sales and Marketing are above average. Administrative staff are fine.

Cons

A lot of work. Product lines are expanding and people are not being hired fast enough. While Red Hat has become a big company but internal processes and procedures are more geared to a small company. It is nice for a large company to try to be nimble and agile like a small company but it is not possible.

Pros

The company is growing so quickly, there's a lot of opportunity to move around and grow along with it. You work with some of the most passionate open source advocates around and your work can directly impact the company's success.

Cons

Quickly growing is a two-edged sword. It's fun to be a part of, but processes tend to lag the growth rate, which leads to occasional frustration.

Pros

A company with solid financials, great people, freedom, and a strong culture.

Cons

HR is not on the ball. Career opportunities exist but require too much politicking. Senior management is a mixed bag, some great, some old timers out of their league.
