      Pros

      For open source people, what more could you ask for? You may get to travel a lot if you like public speaking.

      Cons

      The company does not make its own products so much as package and support the open source work.

      Pros

      Great colleagues. Open source software is awesome. Great learning environment. Good benefits. Challenging work assignments. Wife portfolio of products to support and work with.

      Cons

      Like many contractors, the work is very customer domain specific. In many ways, you could be working at any contracting firm, albeit one where you mostly are working with Red Hat products. Though the branding is for the whole company, you feel that there is a difference, significantly so, between Red Hat Consulting and the platform side of the business.
