Pros

Fully embraces open-source, open-collaboration, and honest communication. Most other employees are fantastic people, easy to get along with, humble, and always willing to help.

Cons

The company in general does a very poor job of learning from it's own past mistakes. Post-pandemic leadership has been poor, with layoffs then re-hiring for some of the exact same positions. Employee-to-manager ratio is getting worse by the day. Over-payed executives and promotion of narcissists. Engineering teams are under-resourced and over-worked. Company is incredibly stingy when it comes to day-to-day operations, but overly generous with director-level and higher pay and bonuses.

Pros

Great compensation. Great opportunity to work on amazing projects. Functions/acts like a small company. Willing to take risks! It is a fun place! Redhat has a very open culture, and has great people!!

Cons

Functions/acts like an overwhelmed small company. All of the internal teams are siloed & unwilling to work cross-team. This creates internal conflicts & too many meetings! Redhat is under tremendous pressure from IBM, which is affecting everything.
