Great place to work!

Pros

- Lots of freedom to work on the largest open source projects - Associates of all levels can have a large impact on projects, products and for large customers. - A great place to build a name for yourself as a technical leader in open source - If you perform well, you can get sizeable raises and increase your salary a lot. - Most managers and leaders are great and very flexible on working hours and work life balance. - Customer base is large, and growing.

Cons

- Does not pay as well as FAANG companies and top companies, and RSU grants are small, so employees tend to churn to higher paying companies once they establish themselves. - Benefits and vacation, particularly in Canada are not great compared to other companies. - Potential concerns about IBM influencing the company culture more. - Wide range of performance among associates - some super stars, many people just getting by. - Large amount of bureaucracy in some groups - particularly content strategy (documentation)
