Pros

Great place to work, most teams are great to work with and great benefits.

Cons

Some leadership lacks actual leadership skills and actually don’t like to collaborate with other teams - siloing themselves with their lack of interest in doing so.

Pros

Back office staff receives bonus quarterly

Cons

Made a lot of people redundant so everyone is overloaded with work. Salary band does not reflect employee’s pay. Quarterly review to get bonus is not a transparent process.

Pros

People are nice, smart, and collaborative. I loved my co-workers and would recommend them to any role in any other company.

Cons

Everyone in Red Hat is duplicating some one else's work elsewhere in the company. - super weak leadership team - C-Suite has been at same company for the last 20 years so imagine the level of innovation (none) - CMO has been there forever ( what new practices can such a person bring to the table/ innovation zero) - Products are expensive and over engineered. No simplicity anywhere. - No growth for female execs or leaders - look at the C-Suite. All white men. - Company growth is stalling so all open roles are posted at a grade below with smaller salaries. For ex. You will be expected to do grade 5 work but with grade 4 pay. - No more upward mobility with layer of middle management all removed. So if you are an IC - chances of promotion into manager virtually zero. - If you are a manager - chances of moving up also zero. - Marketing is shrinking, only growth is in engineering. - All the teams are siloed and leaders hate each other so there is no comprehensive portfolio story to tell. - if you really truly are desperate for a job - then go for it. Otherwise I'd look at high growth companies that are better run. -Everyone who is currently in Red Hat is staying there because the market is rough.
