Everyone in Red Hat is duplicating some one else's work elsewhere in the company.
- super weak leadership team
- C-Suite has been at same company for the last 20 years so imagine the level of innovation (none)
- CMO has been there forever ( what new practices can such a person bring to the table/ innovation zero)
- Products are expensive and over engineered. No simplicity anywhere.
- No growth for female execs or leaders - look at the C-Suite. All white men.
- Company growth is stalling so all open roles are posted at a grade below with smaller salaries. For ex. You will be expected to do grade 5 work but with grade 4 pay.
- No more upward mobility with layer of middle management all removed. So if you are an IC - chances of promotion into manager virtually zero.
- If you are a manager - chances of moving up also zero.
- Marketing is shrinking, only growth is in engineering.
- All the teams are siloed and leaders hate each other so there is no comprehensive portfolio story to tell.
- if you really truly are desperate for a job - then go for it. Otherwise I'd look at high growth companies that are better run.
-Everyone who is currently in Red Hat is staying there because the market is rough.
