Pros

Good salary, flexible work environment, some flexibility in job assignments, not too demanding with bench work. Management is responsive to your opinions and suggestions. Management generally asks if you are comfortable with assignments.

Cons

Sometimes isolating fro remote employees. Management is not afraid to throw consultants into situations that are less than ideal. They can send you into an assignment alone where you have no experience with a product that they sold you on as an expert.

Pros

Good culture and growing company. Energetic and fun quarterly meetings!!

Cons

Several managers operate their department depending on their own personality traits. There is a known lack of professionalism on how they should motivate and train their employees. One manager consistently roams up and down the isles micro managing causing employee wagers on how often she will interrupt them daily. Another one would repeat confidential conversations with her subordinates for merely office gossip, causing tension within the workplace on how to respond/react. Drama galore!

Pros

I believe the overall company is a good one and the environment seems to be positive outside of IT. I like the company's mission and how they seem to be executing on it.

Cons

The IT department in the company seems to be exclusively concerned with covering the ass of upper management. Even the simplest technical problems are solved with the addition of more process on an already overly burdened system. While I was there, the IT department was rife with blatant nepotism and conflicts of interest. Even those that prove that they are toxic for the company are simply moved to other areas of IT and not terminated. Worse, the process has been shown to cause outages, yet the answer is to add more process. Between this blind pursuit of process and the toxic working environment, I am glad to be out of there and would never recommend anyone work in Red Hat IT.
