Pros

Great products, many brilliant people remain.

Cons

Lots of talent loss in layoffs, heavy workload, disconnected, incompetent leadership. No Red Hat open culture remains, just another IBM company now

Pros

There's some great teams with amazing culture and support. Benefits are overall solid Lots of internal pride and motivation to do the right thing

Cons

Evolving to become more like IBM, it's parent company. The recent layoffs (a first) are evidence of that plus the quote from the CEO on how layoffs are healthy in an interview. There will be a lot more change and a lot more restructuring. Whole programs are being sliced.

Pros

Working with great open-source software, some great people, and some vestiges of a great employer

Cons

Grown too big, and now it's all about the numbers. The old culture is dying. Most long-time Hatters have left, to be replaced by people from other huge companies who are intent on "fixing" Red Hat. And, of course, the woke politics that drown out and harass and cancel anyone who doesn't fall into lockstep... have the wrong opinion, and make the mistake of letting anyone know, and your career is done.
