Pros

Fantastic compensation, fantastic communication, great leaders, ability to travel, takes COVID-19 seriously (you need to provide proof of vaccination to attend in-person events and go to the office and that really helps my peace of mind). When I came from a huge corporation that I was laid off within 2020 due to Covid, I searched for a company that matched my values. I found it in Red River. I love the culture, the fact that I can ask anyone any question and not feel stupid (it's a technology company, I came from hospitality). Everyone is friendly and more than willing to help! The work-life balance with the unlimited PTO starting on day one is amazing - I know unlimited PTO gets a bad rep, but I came from a company that I had to earn it, and honestly, this is so much better. Sure, if I leave, I won't get paid out but am I thinking about leaving? No. So it doesn't matter. It's a fantastic perk. The insurance perks are great too and I love how many opportunities there are to volunteer too.

Cons

The structure - there is a lack of it, but really, that's what I'm working on within the company. I think once we get some additional processes in place and structure for the sales teams in place, Red River will soar! I wish that the insurance was a bit cheaper and I do wish that they offered more in the way of family planning, such as supplemental insurance for it like Carrot, as many people are struggling or people that are in same-sex relationships who need this support have to pay out a lot for it. I also wish there was maternity/paternity leave, FMLA is one thing but most tech companies are offering company-paid 16 - 23 weeks (or more) and Red River doesn't offer anything but up to 5 weeks if you do not qualify for FMLA. If we are going to say that we support people with children, we need to provide more leave until the US gets in line with the rest of the world.

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with this great feedback! We’re so glad to hear that you’re enjoying working with us, as well as our great benefits package and DEI initiatives! Red River is growing rapidly and as we do, we are continuously working to improve. Our HR team, as well as other teams in the organization, are building out more structure to support us as we grow. Red River does offer IVF services on our medical plan to assist all families with their family planning! You can certainly contact our Benefits team with any other questions on this and they’ll be happy to help as well.
