Pros
They navigated an unprecedented sales cycle during the pandemic and have come back strong, thanks to tremendous their relationships/network. New projects and new hires have been consistently rolling in during the 9 months I've been here, and the clients I've interacted with are great champions/advocates for growing RedCloud's presence within their teams/organizations. The work/life balance is superb compared to my prior experiences with other consulting firms.
Cons
Compensation and benefits are on-par with the local market, but not extraordinary. The work/life balance makes working for less than I might otherwise get a reasonable trade-off. I've been hearing for a few months that my workload is going to lighten so that I can focus on certifications & some internal projects, but that has yet to occur. There really isn't any kind of formal performance management rigor, outside of year-end review. The only feedback I've gotten on my performance is when I've proactively asked for it.
