Pros

It's extremely difficult to pinpoint positives directly related to the company's management, strategy, or overall culture during my 2.5 years there. The single redeeming aspect was the opportunity to work alongside some genuinely good people navigating a tough environment. I was fortunate to form some life-long friendships with excellent colleagues, and my sincere hope is that those still there find roles better suited to their talents and capabilities, ideally outside of what felt like a cesspool.

Cons

Astronomical & Unaddressed Turnover: Turnover was rampant and seemingly accepted, despite leadership lip service. They often spoke about addressing the shocking first-year turnover rate but never followed through with concrete actions or programs that made any difference. Negative Consequences: This constant churn created a deeply unstable environment with predictable results: extremely low morale, exhausted and overworked employees leading to safety issues and injuries, inconsistent and poor customer service, and a general lack of commitment or loyalty to the company. Issues like theft/fraud also seemed more prevalent than they should have been. Flawed Promotion System: Advancement appeared solely based on hitting numerical targets, regardless of actual leadership potential or capability. This consistently put people in charge who lacked essential management skills, perpetuating the negative cycle. Ineffective & Passive HR: Human Resources was fully aware of the crippling turnover rates and the resulting toxic, "morally bankrupt" culture, yet seemed unwilling or unable to drive any meaningful change. There was no real sense of employee support from HR. Empty Corporate Buzzwords & Leadership Gaps: Management frequently used terms like "building efficiencies," "continuous improvement," and "True North," which felt like completely vacuous blather disconnected from reality. A reflection of how broken these programs are: as of April 2025 – a full 15 months after the former CEO (Deb) left – the company apparently still hasn't updated Lanny as the CEO on this site. This lack of basic leadership clarity and follow-through makes any talk of 'improvement' laughable. Detrimental Acting Leadership: Furthermore, the perceived arrogance and hubris of the current acting "leader" (Lanny) feels like a significant liability. This approach is actively damaging morale further and seems determined to drive away the remaining talented individuals and true leaders within the organization, putting the company's future stability at serious risk.
