I wanted to wait a good length of time before writing my review so that I could compare the environment of Redfin to that of now working in traditional real estate. Most agents at Redfin seem to be there because of fear - fear they cannot make a living in real estate without Redfin. And it is fear that keeps them there. I can tell you that I work 1/3 of how hard I slaved at Redfin, I have made DOUBLE what I made at Redfin as a Lead Agent, I am able to be creative, lock arms with other professionals, have raised my skillset and knowledge base around my profession, and am delighted to work with the clients that choose me personally and whom I choose and not work with the ones I do not want to work with and NO SURVEY potentially penalizing my pay! I can be honest without worry. And because I have the time to devout to each and every client, my referral business just keeps growing. It is a joy again to work as a real estate professional. If you are with Redfin and wishing you could take your life back, you can. If you are considering Redfin in a field role, dig deep and call past employees before making your decision.
