It can be pretty boring. But again, it's pretty good for what you are paid, at least in the economics department.

They treat visitors like tenure-track faculty. Put you up in faculty housing at a below market rate, pay your utilities. The students are amazing. You're left to teach.

As a visitor, you have to leave.
