Pros

We get paid Portland minimum wage and treated well generally. Job interviews aren't too intensive.

Cons

Note that I am not a Housing Advisor. It's a student job idk.

Pros

Relaxed work environment as a post-bac and fulfilling relationships with professors and students. Beautiful campus. Reed has an involved community of thoughtful people that you're a part of even after leaving.

Cons

Mediocre compensation and an adversarial relationship with the administration. HR is run by a union-buster from FedEx who has actively cut staff salaries, benefits, and promotion opportunities since she's been here, but HR's dysfunctions are a symptom of a broader apathy in the administration. Turnover in academic and non-academic positions is high.
