Pros

Relaxed work environment as a post-bac and fulfilling relationships with professors and students. Beautiful campus. Reed has an involved community of thoughtful people that you're a part of even after leaving.

Cons

Mediocre compensation and an adversarial relationship with the administration. HR is run by a union-buster from FedEx who has actively cut staff salaries, benefits, and promotion opportunities since she's been here, but HR's dysfunctions are a symptom of a broader apathy in the administration. Turnover in academic and non-academic positions is high.

Not supportive of staff, no HR standards or protocols, no stance against bullying, harassment or other, compensation is not commiserate with duties or experience, you can do better elsewhere.
