Pros

Laid back work atmosphere, not strict, coworkers are nice, Montreal studio location is hip and edgy, fun activities, OT food paid. Studio located near canal with several cafés and good restaurants. Looks good on resume. Working hours are pretty lax if you do your tasks. French classes are offered.

Cons

Efforts are made to integrate French into communications but it is very clear that English is necessary to work at this company, despite being in a French-speaking city. If you are Francophone, it is absolutely necessary for you to be bilingual to work here. Made us work illegal hours during crunch periods (7 consecutive days) with no compensation while scaring employees into not retaliating. Got away with it by pretending it was actually the artist's choice (actually a miracle they got away with this). This depends on the department. HR wrongfully tells employees discussing salaries is prohibited (illegal per Canadian labour laws). HR serves as to push down employees demanding fairer salaries, instead of being there to help employees. Raises are often laughable. Has periods of high crunch and down times with nothing to do. Bad planning and wasted resources. Pipeline is constantly breaking and can greatly prohibit the productivity of the artist.
