Pros

The culture is pretty relaxed, for the most part. As long as deadlines are met and you work 40 hours a week, no one really cares about when the work gets done.

Cons

One of the biggest complaints is the lack of overtime pay. Often times we are expected to work overtime but there is little to no incentive. We are compensated slightly in the form of comp days but that is up to your supervisors discretion and ReelFX must "approve" your days off. I personally have never received any comp days.

Pros

The people are amazing and fun-loving. Pay is adequate but on the better side of things. Benefits are quite nice.

Cons

In the TD department, the staff is inappropriate. Not enough workers for heavy load. Regarding that, hours are extremely crazy under stress and still painful under normal load. No additional pay for working more hours a week. Best you get is a sandwich for dinner on late nights. Leadership and communication between departments is segmented and tense.

Pros

* Fun company, great people, smart people, great atmosphere * Get to take ownership and impact the technology used if you are driven and passionate (and talented enough) * in Dallas (vs Southern California)

Cons

* amazingly wasted amounts of skill and talent * Sr. Mgmt. team (with maybe 2 exceptions) makes questionable direction and company investment decisions. No clear leadership or direction from above * Sr. Mgmt expects to be served by the employees (when they should be focused on serving the employees themselves - leadership means serving those you lead!) * slaves to doing it 'the old way' - "don't have time to make it better, just get it done" * abuse employees with low pay and long hours
