Pros

The people are nice, and the atmosphere is generally relaxed. I've made some great friends over the years.

Cons

Significant overtime, work life balance is a struggle. Struggling to retain staff, particularly anyone with experience. Hiring straight from college as grads arent aware of the poor reputation, but they cycle out within a year or two. The place is like a creche there are so many kids working there. Management are bad and getting worse every year. The good ones have left, leaving the bad ones behind to climb the ranks. The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Equal Opportunity to a Fault

Pros

Regeneron as a company is driven completely by metrics. Every candidate is on an equal playing field for a promotion as technical skills and completed work serve as the primary metric. There is very little value placed on soft skills, but this situation means that Regeneron is by definition an equal opportunity employer.

Cons

The company is growing rapidly, but most of senior management has been there for an extended period of time. As a result, there is not a lot of space for vertical growth. Additionally, because Regeneron is so metric driven and places little emphasis on soft skills, management is not highly skilled at "managing". A lot of senior management are simply individuals who have amassed a large amount of technical information . The best managers in terms of driving the development of employees are not always in charge.
