A complete 180 over the last 5 years

Pros

Regent has done a complete 180 over the last 5 years: Defined an SDLC and product roadmap, established a successful, repeatable implementation methodology, created solid documentation, both internal and client-facing, implemented training plans for new employees, and much, much more. The future at Regent is bright and exciting! * Leadership's open door policy * Remote work * Unlimited PTO * Work-life balance * Employee recognition program

Cons

* Need more diversity in senior leadership. * No staff on the bench and limited cross-training, which can present challenges at times.

Pros

Good people. New Office. Flexible hours and PTO. New CEO/Sr. Management trying to mature the company, business and development process. The new CEO has made some good changes in how the company goes about creating software and delivering value.

Cons

New building has caused a push to be present in the building more often at the expense of work/life balance and productivity. Some of the senior management that remain from the previous CEO are not very good at leading people and tends to create a lot of sudden changes in direction, waste of time processes and has very little respect for maximizing the value of people's time. Bonuses and raises for last year's performance have been on hold pending board approval and communication around that has been extremely poor - the last update was mid february to mid march and its now nearly the end of march. Company is management/title heavy with many long term employees plus many of the new CEO's people brought in, few opportunities for advancement.
