Pros

- Tight engineering culture if you want to be involved - Impactful point in company's life - transition from monolith/on-prem to distributed/cloud - Company has adapted to growth fairly well internally - If you can keep your job there, Relativity is pretty well positioned in the market

Cons

- Recent layoffs & exec resignations indicated change in how the company is doing business - morale is very low - Transition to cloud has been painful, and work still being half-done makes it doubly annoying - Relativity will be hitched to a stack unsuited for the cloud works for at least a few more years (.NET Framework & Windows)

Pros

Fast-growing company, well-funded, and beating out its competitors. Lots of opportunities to grow up in the ranks if you're willing to put in extra work. Provides good standard employee benefits

Cons

Employees are seen as a resource. A lot is expected of you, but not reciprocated the other way around. Getting a promotion is a long uphill walk. Periodic 24/7 oncall support is required. There are better companies out there

Thank you for your feedback on working at Relativity. I’m glad to hear that you’ve been able to take advantage of our benefits and have had opportunities to grow your career. I appreciate your feedback on how you feel employees are valued at Relativity. We strive to be a Talent First organization and we never want employees to feel undervalued. Regarding promotions, Relativity has an established process in place that accounts for the individual employee’s performance and contributions as well as holistic feedback from their manager and other colleagues across the business. We are always evaluating how to improve on our processes to ensure that strong performance is recognized and rewarded appropriately. Over the last few years, we have increased our hiring, particularly in departments like service delivery and engineering, to ensure that teams have the right amount of coverage for their work so they can ensure a healthier work-life balance. While we do have teams that provide overnight or weekend support, those employees are aware of this time requirement upon receiving their job offer. Work-life balance is important to us and we want to ensure that employees, no matter their role, can take advantage. We have a global Discretionary Time Off policy so that all employees can benefit from unlimited time off. Additionally, we have two week-long company closures, over the summer and winter holiday, to ensure our employees have time to recharge. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. – Beth Clutterbuck, CHRO at Relativity
