Pros

I started about 6 months ago and I have absolutely loved my experience so far. Culture has been great, benefits are awesome (education stipend is what I was most excited for), and the "down for the cause" attitude I feel across the company really motivates me to do well. I was nervous onboarding remotely when I started (had never done that before) and was so pleasantly surprised at the level of organization and attentiveness from the recruiting/ HR team. Some impressive milestones have been hit since I started and I am pumped to see where we go as a company.

Cons

Things can change fast. Definitely need to be adaptable to work here

Unparalleled Potential

Pros

Our technology is so cool, inspiration abounds nearly every day. Even in the short time I’ve been on board the team has impressed me a ton with their approach to solving problems rapidly and intelligently, and we’ve continued adding some incredible people on top of that base too. I for one see potential not just for our ability to make rockets, but also larger objects and printing in other industries - which is also on track to a long term vision on Mars. It’s a fun and invigorating atmosphere, we work hard (and I think this will continue to escalate quite a bit as we get close to launch) but the new learning and team camaraderie is worth it.

Cons

Honestly hard pressed to think of many. We’re at an inflection point with hardware test and delivery that I’m eagerly anticipating the next few months of tests so we can see how close we are to launch. Some team members seem like they are more cautious than others in driving hard to launch, but we just got a new factory and I think that energy will really push everyone along at the same rapid pace. A lot of people have launched rockets before and know this ambiguity is normal and to push through, and people that haven’t seem very excited to be a part of launching our rocket. The majority of the team is exceptionally driven, a few people here and there could use more accountability on schedule deliverables but engineering leadership is pretty effective at reining this in, in a way that’s positive.
