Pros

- Engineer-driven. We build out what we think is the most important thing rather than being told what we have to build, so there's a strong sense of ownership. - There's a strong focus on quality. We're willing to build things out well rather than quick, and management is supportive of that. - Fast-paced. It's really incredible to see the positive impacts of your work month-over-month as the rest of the company evolves. - Company culture. Relativity has a great culture where everyone's voices are heard and we learn from mistakes, rather than punish mistakes. - The future of the company. Things are coming together at an incredible pace and it's super exciting to be part of it.

Cons

- No froyo machines :(

The New SpaceX?

Pros

The company was much better a few years ago when it was smaller and the work you did was much more impactful. Benefits are pretty great, generous PTO, parental policy, etc.

Cons

The company was at its height (culturally) about a year ago, before the COVID-19 pandemic caused some internal scrambles. Relativity has attracted a lot of great talent from competitors by highlighting the work/life balance and shying away from the infamous SpaceX culture, but recently it feels the company is moving more and more towards that. The company also boasts about its 4 values, one of which is Humankind, but there has been a lack of that recently. The turnover rate has risen in the last few months, with people leaving voluntarily (a lot of super early employees left and those who have been around for over a year), and people who got let go without prior performance feedback. Employees are shocked to hear they're being let go. These employees either didn't receive any performance feedback or were misled thinking they were meeting expectations. It doesn't seem like managers and their soon-to-be-fired direct reports are on the same page. What ever happened to performance improvement plans?

Pros

Good place to start off at. Great directors

Cons

You are promised certain duties but once you start you ate doing something completely different. Lots of promises but no follow through. Ex SpaceX engineers keep the power trip attitude
