Pros
Easy to get a job, at the time. The economy was better. If you had few options and needed work, they had it available.
Cons
They wouldn't follow through on things they told you they would do. I earned a gift card at an electronics store by working a certain number of weeks. They kept telling me "we'll have it for you next week" It took several weeks of me badgering them to actually get the gift card.
