Pros

Some field employees (laser techs) are kind, though interaction between studios and/or HQ is limited.

Cons

Management is riddled with false promises and self-serving actions, at the expense of lower-level employees. If you voice concerns or reach out to the barely-existent, externally contracted HR, they will usher your issues under the rug or fire you. Very few issues have been handled with care. Middle management and upper management have the same management style: over-work the lower level teams and ignore any issues that might arise. There is no upward mobility throughout the company, particularly if you are a salaried or HQ employee. Very few people of color throughout the company. None in leadership positions. Disjointed communication throughout the company, both on local levels and international levels. Additionally, the company has asked their employees to leave false positive Glassdoor reviews in order to bury the negative experiences many current and former employees have experienced. Be wary of those, they are quite obvious when you read them. Turnover is ridiculously high. HQ hosts a hostile and isolating environment. Egregious and unfair pay. Will promise bonuses and fail to deliver. Do not trust any leadership or management member.

Pros

Can make good money, but ONLY if you are in a good location sales wise.

Cons

almost everything. most micromanaged I have EVER felt in a job, and that is with your manager not even being in your location. I personally was in a sales position, when interviewing you they boast about how much you have the potential to make but the numbers they give you are based off their top preforming locations. if you aren’t in a big city/high traffic location good luck ever hitting bonus, not to mention the CONSTANT stress they put on sales consultants if you aren’t hitting goals. If you aren’t preforming to their goals (which, again, is impossible in a slower location) you will have weekly meetings with your regional manager where pretend they want to help you but realistically are just hounding you about your KPIs not being good enough. You have to have a certain “start rate” of at least 65% of all consults or your regional manager will be down your throat. dead locations also get very few consults booked, even fewer show up, but if you mention anything about them doing more local advertising or on social media they will turn it around on YOU to do more “outreach” which is basically just cold calling & dropping by other business to leave marketing materials and asking them to refer clients (have to do that at least 10 places a week!). They act like they are a “family company” that cares about their employees but all they care about is $$$, raise prices frequently “due to inflation” which obviously frustrates clients but never raise your pay! Sneaky company pretending like they have good morals, values etc but really could care less about their employees, that’s why their turnover rate is so high. When I left I had over $450 in bonus earned from weeks prior that was never paid which is literally against the law but they don’t care even after going back and forth with them. They ask employees to leave good reviews often to cover all the bad ones. You have been warned .
