Pros

Depending on your location, the pay can be good. Many friendly co-workers. Interesting industry.

Cons

Being a laser technician was the most draining and unhealthy job I ever had. You are responsible for nearly every task at the office with little to no help from management. All the regional managers are only sales driven and do not care about the actual treatment safety or client needs at the location level, leaving it solely for the technicians to take on on top of the already intense daily work load. HQ brings on managers that have no idea about how tattoo removal even works...they all sit in the comfort of their own homes spewing out unrealistic monthly goals that technicians and sales people are breaking their backs to reach, but they never provide any support or help if needed. If you work at a busy location you are treating around 20 clients a day all by yourself....and they didn't limit clients during the peak of covid either, we functioned at full capacity which went against the city mandates put in place at the time. There is no care for the employees safety or well being, not to mention that of the clients either, who corporate only sees as a bag of money. The location I worked at never had a working alarm system, panic button or security cameras proving the staff is not valued. Work/life separation is nonexistent here. Managers never respect (or even know) your days off and will frantically call you for help or to push their duties off on you when you're not even working! There is large employee turnover. Their philosophy is to have people quit and hire new, mostly underqualified technicians to replace them. Look at the dates of these other reviews, they are all 5 stars from current employees (most likely bribed to write them) in order to push down all the true and real reviews from former employees that have been severely mistreated. This company only cares about money and not a single person that walks through the doors...employees and clients alike!

Pros

Having tattoos and being different is not looked down upon. Relaxed management, they do not breathe down the back of your neck, no micromanaging. “Cool” atmosphere in the studios. “Own” your own studio, be your own boss-in certain ways. Benefits - PTO, sick days, insurance-health, dental, vision and bonus opportunity. Stable paycheck. Opportunity for advancement. Open door policy. Wealth of knowledge. Teams is a nice way to interact and learn- someone is always at your finger tips if you have any problems or questions.

Cons

I have been here for over 2 years and have never gotten a well deserved raise. Minimal staff at studios- not the same bonus opportunity if you are understaffed and you have to do the work of 3 people if you are not properly staffed- which leads to other problems such as being burnt out, not being able to use your PTO when you want and feeling like you can’t ever take a sick day because too much is relying on you to stay open and accommodate clients. Bonus opportunity is not based per location- it’s the same across the board so smaller studios don’t have the same opportunity as booming studios, we are always celebrating who makes the most money so it makes the wins at small studios irrelevant. Extra staff outside of the studios- I have no idea who is who and who to turn to for what. A lot of preached positivity at HQ but not the same feeling at the studios. High employee turn over rate. It’s mentally exhausting to work with clients who are not happy with something on their body. Frequent changes- it’s a whirlwind so hold on. Minimal marketing outside of the internet.

Pros

I have been in sales for over 15 years and I have never worked for a company quite like Removery. Work/ life balance is actually a top priority for management. Earning potential is unmatched and they provide really excellent training as well as team building events. It's the best company I have ever worked for and I am so excited to be a part of such an amazing team.

Cons

No cons that I can see.
