Pros

Benefits are pretty good. Mission driven.

Cons

Not enough integration with already purchased programs, yet consistently purchasing more. They should scale what they have then look to expand the portfolio.

Pros

Mission Great People Nice office in Madison

Cons

There were a handful of good managers but they were handcuffed by THEIR inept bosses. Most management is out of touch as to the reality of goals, compensation and workflow processes. Employees have become nothing more than a cog. As many others have stated, the mission I love has been nothing more then lip service for quote a while. Money is the mission now.

Pros

They have a decent time off policy.

Cons

Before you consider a job in Sales at Renaissance, ask what their turnover rate is in the sales department. Sales professionals have been leaving this company in huge numbers over the past 24 months. Other sales professionals in Edtech Companies are noticing and those that are recruiting, are snatching up Renaissance employees right and left. There are big, systemic problems within the sales organization at Renaissance Learning that have been evident for well over a decade. Beware. Some indications for this mass exodus: Unrealistic quotas, longstanding employees getting let go with no apparent reason, very low base salaries, sales teams getting shifted around every couple of years, no true sales leadership, a few veteran staff get promotions that are not posted and much micromanagement within the sales funnel by mid-management. NO opportunity for inside sales for promotion especially for those living in Wisconsin Rapids. This company is a giant within the industry due to acquisitions by private equity firms, not due to organic growth. They are all about bottom line profit and have lost their way.
