Pros

- Nice office in London - Company events can be fun

Cons

The portfolio company strategy can sometimes create challenges for synergy and collaboration across different parts of the organization. Sub-Companies may operate very independently, which has some benefits but can also lead to missed opportunities to leverage each other's strengths. It's also important for employees and job seekers to be aware that the staffing and contracting industry is highly cyclical in nature. During market downturns when clients have fewer open positions, there is a high risk of layoffs if billable work can't be found. Conversely, during strong markets, the day rates charged to clients for employees' work may be significantly higher than the employees' own compensation.

Pros

Good network of companies you can move between. Unlimited training budget. Car allowance benefit. Good socials.

Cons

They are stingy with annual leave - 19 days (the additional 3 days are forced upon you during the Christmas week). To make matters worse, they also expect months of notice. You can never tell when you will finish work on a given day due to management overpromising on deliverables and timelines. Some Managers have terrible people skills. Years in tech is not enough to be a manager especially when you’re not up to date with the latest ways of working. The sales driven culture is very obvious and you can see the pressure it has on management. You get a tech budget but it is paid with your salary so you receive less due to tax. Poor parental benefits. Leaving notice is 3 months (after Probation).

Pros

The brand has recognition value on your cv

Cons

Culture is particularly 1990s, in practice EDI is not even considered a responsibility of the company. The salaries are ok once you're a manager but otherwise you're employed as a cash cow for them and you'll be held back as long as possible. Progression is extremely difficult. Overall a very unhealthy place to work
