Pros

People understand that they have shortcomings and try to fix them

Cons

Even if they do understand they have them, there's not much they really achieve in fixing them and there's no compensation of any kind Also estimations aren't done in a proper way - managers don't really overestimate the developer's estimation like you should do in a volatile environment where not a lot of issues and unexpected situations cannot be predicted, especially considering some of the people are working on multiple projects at a time. When a developer is asked how much time that would take you, many developers tell you a rough estimate of what a task would take without any disruptions, but that never actually happens. Bugs appear, production issues and so on. So the estimate should be at least 20% higher if not more, especially in environments where deadlines are established by legislative changes such as banking (with which Reply works a lot).
