Accident Forgiveness, Expectations Vs, Reality.
Pros
Great pay, decent hours, friendly people, professional environment.
Cons
1. Not fond of the new T-Shirt uniforms, get dirty easy, stains will not come out of that Electric safety color. 2. Driver cannot make waves, meaning, cannot complain about things. The ones that do, are squeaky wheels, they do not grease, they just replace them. 3. Anything that happens in your truck, is considered an accident. If you bump a cheap 5 dollar item, ACCIDENT! if you leave a rut in grass, ACCIDENT! If a car hits you, YOUR FAULT, ACCIDENT! The trash can bumps something after you dump it, ACCIDENT! snag a low hanging wire. ACCIDENT! if you get three of any of these you are fired. It takes 6 months of no accidents for you to get a promotion, But one year before you are clear to have any further ACCIDENTS! Being a driver is tough work there, you are mentally exhausted at the end of a day, especially as commercial front end driver. You are constatly faced, with bad drivers on the road, people parking close to your cans, you are faced with bad drivers backing out of a lot, you are faced with people pulling around you, you are faced with entering tight area, small alley ways, and several locations with low wires, and even the combination of them all. There are routes that are considered, RISKY ROUTES...becasue they are routes comprised of almost every stop you make, being at HIGH RISK. You cannot ever be tired at work, it is highly frowned upon to take a day off to to chill out. Calling in for any reason is frowned upon, be sure to scheduled any days you want off 6 mo in advance, or your not going to get off.
