Pros

Some of the standouts in my time so far: - Flexible working (I am fully remote with the option to travel to the office in Sydney campus if I desire/need) - Competitive and rewarding benefits package recognising personal contributions and offering the ability to invest in the ResMed stock (ESPP), our management is mindful of Australian inflation and rising cost of living rates too - Brilliant managerial and top leadership support across all projects, I can't emphasise this enough, that all my experiences working with more senior leaders so far have been positive and also very inspiring. The leaders here really care for you/the teams and want the best for you professionally and personally (wellbeing etc)... and I'm learning a lot about leadership, strategy, and navigating business challenges from them - Supportive team culture within projects, with hard-working colleagues passionate about solving real world problems and helping people sleep better and live well - A strong sense of innovation, where your ideas (no matter how big/small) are heard and respected - A strong sense of being able to stay for a long period and get a lot of growth in the company (either in my current team/function or across the entire company as others have moved around internally), I can see why some people stay for decades! - Every colleague I've met is passionate about making a genuine difference in consumer's lives and having impact with their career... this is a great cultural driver and brings purpose to our projects - Open internal opportunities to experience other team's projects, have secondments internally, or try my hand at entrepreneurship programs in future, or simply shape my role into what I would like (this might be somewhat limited by what team you are in?). I've developed a broad project portfolio across a range of teams... I really like the variety here, I'm never bored - I haven't done this but there's an option to 'take a cut' in your salary for more paid annual leave if you'd like more time with family/take a break/go travelling - Even with some organisational change/restructuring going on, the leadership team has been clear and supportive throughout, and I feel like my opinions are heard and my job is secure - And, last but certainly not least, every person here that I've met (both in ANZ and overseas) is super lovely and kind! There's a really warm atmosphere at work and it's safe to say I've made lifelong connections

Cons

I'm raving about working at ResMed to my friends and family. It's the best company I've worked at and it's hard to think of any cons. Perhaps the only 'con' for me was that being a fully-remote employee, I've noticed that ResMed has a less social culture than my previous employer (Big 4 consulting). That being said, my previous employer was CBD-based, I had an office in my city, and there was a much younger employee base making social culture and virtual connection a little easier perhaps! There are not many virtual social things on for fully-remote employees at ResMed but... I don't care too much! Whenever I meet up with my teams in person, fun social events are always planned. I just raise this as I know some job-seekers definitely look for an established highly-social company.
