      RES has a strong mission and contributes meaningfully to ecological restoration. There are opportunities to build genuine relationships with kind, passionate colleagues who care about the work. Field experience is hands-on and diverse, and the company encourages pursuing certifications and skill-building.

      Cons

      Leadership is severely lacking from direct supervisors. A culture that once felt collaborative and growth-oriented has deteriorated under micromanagement, inconsistency, and a lack of basic professionalism. When seeking guidance, clarity, or opportunities for growth and advancement, supervisors were unsupportive and dismissive rather than helpful. Advancement criteria shifted frequently, with selective feedback used to block upward mobility. Workload is highly inconsistent — ranging from long stretches of underutilization to over 40-hour weeks without additional compensation or flexibility.
