Pros

Get to work with a lot of smart people. Get to work from home all you want, go into the office when/if you want. Get to solve a lot of cool problems, if you express interest in an area you will probably get to work in it. Great culture. Lots of company lunches and happy hours. Good compensation and benefits. Very stable and well funded startup, all the benefits of a startup with none of the downsides.

Cons

Can be easy to work more than you should when working with so many smart people. No 401k match.

Pros

There is a clear mission behind the company and everything we do daily adds up to customer satisfaction and recurring orders as well as well-being of our freelancers pool. Growth rate year after year shows that our work pays off. The in-house culture feels like home - you know everyone and you can talk to anyone freely and openly. There is no behind the scene politics or strict requirements for schedule, location, PTOs, etc. Hiring smart friendly people and giving them enough autonomy works for Rev so far. I couldn't imagine company may have such a healthy climate inside. You commit to some change in the product, and you make it happen. Nobody just hands you an issue with a deadline. Team responsibility, planning and estimation makes a great foundation to not stressing about work beyond work time. At this size and structure of product teams we can roll with the punches and release regularly. I really hope company growth won't complicate the structure we have now significantly. One of the biggest benefits for me - you work alongside senior engineers with years of experience, so learning never stops. After all of this, I can easily skip many small perks which many cool companies around have.

Cons

No quick career jumping into leads - you should earn every next level with years of hard work.

Pros

Rev's culture is open, friendly and supportive of innovation. It's a highly effective team with excellent leadership working on a suite of well-focused problems in the domain of labor marketplaces. Rev is very well set up to support remote work and management is relaxed and flexible in sensible ways, making for a really great working environment.

Cons

The calibre of engineering talent is high - substantively higher than industry average - but if you're looking to be working with the top 1%, this isn't the place.
