Pros

* Very talented team, from senior engineers to entry-level folks. You can depend on others to get stuff done and help you out. * No BS or politics. Priorities are given to data-driven and evidence driven ideas, as well as great creativity. * No micro-management. Rev is very goal-driven. Everyone has goals with metrics attached, but how you decide to go about trying to achieve your goal is completely up to you. * An inspiring mission. We are helping thousands of people work and earn income all over the US and the world.

Cons

* It's a startup, so some big company perks are missing, such as: HR department, large office, cafeterias, etc.

Extremely happy working at Rev

Pros

Rev is a great place to work. Management empowers the engineering team to figure out the right solution to both business problems and the accompanying technical challenges. I feel my work is valued and it is great to see it directly impact the lives of so many freelance workers around the world. Rev is also very flexible about work location, which is great for those software engineers that don't want to, or can't move to San Francisco. The team is friendly and fun to be around. The company events and happy hours are always a good time.

Cons

The cons are those typical to most SF startups: - lack of defined policies and procedures - need to hire more people to help speed up the pace of progress - San Francisco is very expensive location to live (but this is mostly offset by remote work opportunities)

Fantastic team and growth opportunities

Pros

This is the first time I can say I love my job. Great team, a company doing something meaningful, and a role that's a great fit for me. Senior leadership works hard to constantly evaluate - and tweak - how we work as an organization. It's a very thoughtful company. Personal growth is encouraged, with plenty of responsibilities given to you if you ask for it. Driven, but not slaving away. Most people go home between 5:30-7pm; some do more work from home, but not expected. Great fit if lean towards being data-driven, debate-craving, and results-oriented. It's a meritocracy, without much ego.

Cons

Senior leadership are all male and either engineers or former consultants, so pretty typical tech startup demographic. Not necessarily a bad thing, but creates a specific culture. Main complaint is we don't do as much socially as a company. Occasional after-work events, but not everyone participates so feels lackluster.
