Incredible Opportunity to Learn New Skills
Pros
Revature offered me a truly wonderful opportunity to learn skills that were totally new to me, AND TO GET PAID TO LEARN THEM!! Yes, you read that right!! I am very grateful to have been selected to benefit from their top notch training with very knowledgeable staff. At the end of the training, i was interviewed for the position for which i trained, and i was hired by one of the client companies for which Revature conducted the training.
Cons
The major drawback was out of Revature's control--the client company that hired me was undergoing economic pressure in 2022, as were many tech companies in that year. As business was not as expected, I and many of the software engineer graduates which trained during my period of time were laid off--about 400 of us!! However, i think that by now, beginning 2024, the future must be much brighter.
