Pros

Pay is adequate. Training pay is minimum wage but with discounted housing it’s fine. Training is incredible. You’ll learn more here about industry technologies in 3 months than you did over 4 years at university. Having a computer science or IT degree seems to make the process a lot smoother. Curriculum prepares you to be a minimum viable programmer.

Cons

Watching people get “dropped” on a near weekly basis can be quite stressful. The novelty of not knowing what client you’re going to wears off as soon as you realize you’re at the mercy of the sales team (who are good at what they do). Experiences vary both in and between “batches” as far as who you will be contracted out to and what you will learn, respectively. Work life balance can be tricky. Your “teams” during team projects will likely push you to put in work after hours. You will be living with your coworkers if you accept company housing, which has its ups and downs.

Pros

The training process was very instrumental in laying a solid groundwork and, while it was intense, everyone was always helpful and there was no shortage of guidance. Questions were always accepted. It felt like everyone at the company was invested in the training group's success. It was an extremely intense 10 weeks, but it is amazing how much I learned.

Cons

If in the time between the interview and the beginning of training, you were given some instruction on where to begin your studies as far as topics covered during the first few weeks of training, that could help lighten the load of things.
