Pros

You will learn a lot here and you get training that companies want. They also help with what you need to do in interviews and how you should dress for a company to look professional. Its a great place to go to right out of college and if you like to travel you get the possibility to go places you never been before!

Cons

Come if you don't have many expenses and can afford it. If you don't like it below 50 degrees don't come in the winter time.

We will keep up the good work and yes, everyone we hire will have to go through the tough program that you went through, it’s why Revature software engineers are in such high demand. Again, thanks for the great review.

Pros

I came from a large IT staffing agency where I gained a lot of recruiting experience, and I can say that Revature has a great and unique business model that is unlike any staffing or recruiting firm out there. Unlike any other company, Revature lets you run your own desk without the constant worry of having to hit a certain amount of calls per day and other related metrics, which in my opinion, makes recruiters focus on the quantity of calls they make, rather than the quality of the conversations they are having, which in the end ultimately hurts productivity. The management encourages the recruiting team to do things their own way, and encourages creativity and trying new things to improve success. I think the open, non-metrics driven environment really helps recruiters to get comfortable in their own skin, which helps them to be a better resource for candidates, and better recruiters for the company. Happy, comfortable recruiters are much more efficient and successful than those who are constantly worrying about hitting metrics and having management breathing down their necks. David Gaines has done a great job of cultivating an open environment with team members, and is always great to talk to you if you need an idea or something new to try to improve your recruiting. In addition, the members of the office get along really well, and the company is a great place to work. I truly enjoy coming into the office every day to interact with my colleagues from not only the recruiting team, but the sales, HR, and training departments as well.

Cons

One thing that could be better is inter-departmental communication. Sometimes, I wish that sales, marketing, HR, recruiting, management, and training were a bit more transparent in things that are going on so we can all work as a unit rather than parts working individually. As the company is growing extremely rapidly, departments should really be working together as much as possible to ensure that we grow together as one cohesive unit, rather than having the company grow with communication divides that will be harder to mend down the road. Other than this, really no cons to speak of.
