Pros

* The Revature team communicates with you a lot, whether it's through training or calling to check on progress. * Trainer and different teams have been extremely helpful. * During training, you build skills and test them to the point where it's second nature * They tell you if you're lacking in any area

Cons

* The length of the training is almost too short, almost, because it's a lot of info to ingest in such short a period, but it's a fantastic experience.

Pros

The skills you learn are very geared towards what is used in the industry and includes technologies hand-picked by companies in the industry. Projects completed in training directly relate to what companies want to see from prospective candidates. Revature sells is a stepping-stone to the private sector, and it gives you a platform to improve your interview skills and resume to look attractive to companies.

Cons

Training is fast-paced, and you work a lot of hours at minimum wage so it can seem not worth it. In the short term it is not worth it if you need immediate results. You are very likely to be paid below the industry average for the technologies you work with during your time at Revature.

Pros

It's a fairly quick way to learn worthwhile coding and software skills that can help you progress through the IT world The teaching methods are practical and effective. Your biggest resources are your co-workers and instructors. They provide information when you yourself cannot find it.

Cons

A certain capacity and level of commitment is required for this title, like all careers. You must be dedicated and persevering if you want to succeed. Due to its pace, it is easy to fall behind if you don't understand the topics the first time around. This is especially true for those who don't come from a CS background.
