      Pros

      The trainers all start as associates, which gives them perspective and keeps the team toxicity-free. Theyre all incredibly smart as well. The company is always improving itself, and there is much opportunity for learning and growth.

      Cons

      The job can take more than 40 hours a week, and involves much problem solving, thinking on your feet, studying, and admin work. A trainer is a leader, administrator, and lifetime learner, not just a simple programmer.

      Pros

      Unlike other programs where you might have to pay for training up front and be on your own after the training is over, Revature pays you during training and places you with one of their large variety of clients afterward. If you're looking to break into tech, this is a great place to start.

      Cons

      The training is very intensive. So if the field isn't for you, you might find it pretty stressful. The pay during training isn't great and your cost controlled throughout the two year contract. That being said, I signed the contract because Revature gave me skills and opportunities that I wouldn't have had otherwise. I didn't come from a tech background and had no IT experience, so I didn't have a well paying tech job waiting for me. If you're in similar circumstances, Revature is a great option. Plus the contract is only two years, which may not be a long time when you compare it to the length of the career that you can build.
