Pros

Allows relatively young employees to perform roles no other sane bank would. Pay packages are good at the hiring point. Full remote work.

Cons

No raises (at all). Bonuses are pitiful (think <5%). Only way to get more money is to leave. The entire risk function has basically left. You now have people there who really couldn't find a job anywhere else. Anyone who could leave, has. All the institutional knowledge leaves with the employee, line manager has 0 clue what the risk function does, feel like they can perform the role with random employees. Management (HoDs) do not understand the level of experience, education and technical expertise required to succeed at this role. This is how you get fined.
