Pros

Context: This is for my glassdor review of Revolut Scale and challenges are real with a strong engineering culture -> leads to lots of learning. Compensation is high with a reasonable amount of (so far) rapidly-appreciating equity. Committed to remote-friendly. In the current state of RTO policies, Revolut stays remote-friendly. You can choose to work from their office any time you want, but there is no need nor expectation for that, you can be 100% remote. It is constantly expanding, which means a lot of growth opportunities. It is the closest I've seen to a meritocracy, there is no gatekeeping and if you can prove that you excel you will be rewarded and promoted, it doesn't matter your tenure, past experience etc. Gives you access to a big network of world-class engineers

Cons

It is fast-paced indeed, the expectations and high and there is no handholding. This requires a certain attitude, high agency and the ability to adapt.

Pros

- Good salary - Nice development culture, a lot of competent and passionate developers around - streamlined'ish processes, not too much bloat

Cons

- high workload, feel like I need to sacrifice work-life balance to perform - depending on your team, can spend a lot of time waiting for PR reviews from other teams

Pros

You're surrounded by top performers; people who can't keep up are either filtered out during the recruitment process or drop out quickly. This creates a great environment for learning and developing because you’re constantly pushed by the best in the business. On top of that, the compensation is genuinely competitive and reflects the high-intensity nature of the work.

Cons

The biggest strength is also the biggest challenge for progression. Because you're in a room full of "A-players," simply doing a great job isn't enough to stand out in the corporate structure. To get "fast-tracked," you have to come up with something truly exceptional just to be noticed. However, the system is also fair—so if you do your job well and stay consistent, you will eventually get rewarded.
