Very few long term IT Recruiters / Account Executives because of all the turnover at “Corporate Headquarters”
Pros
- Owner/CEO is a frat boy in a suit which keeps things interesting. - Since the narcissistic CEO enjoys flaunting his personal wealth & success, he’s always interested in having the latest and greatest and often that translates into getting the latest and greatest technology to work with as long as “dispensable” employees like those that actually earn him that wealth & success due to all the hard work, long hours, placements, & client relationships established, secured and maintained by the “Senior Technical” Recruiters / Account Executives, don’t expect to become too autonomous, self-reliant and able to work without constant hovering, supervision, or unrelenting pressure to deliver on some unrealistic goal in exchange for minimal financial reward all disguised as “encouragement” and he treats everyone regardless of experience, education, skill level or productivity like high school children in need of constant (questionable) motivational tricks. -If you’re not happy with the Recruiter/Account Executive you’re working with, give it 6 months- 1 year, they’re will be a whole new staff (with the exception of any Managing Directors, VPs, or old college buddy’s that the Owner CEO makes sure are fat, happy and taken care of.
Cons
- Base pay is ridiculously low. - Benefits are a joke. - Commission structure is not competitive or inline with industry standards and there’s no way to make the kind of money you can elsewhere unless there are requests for permanent placements which are RARE with the client list and type of contracts at “Corporate Headquarters”. - CEO/Owner burns through recent college graduates and anyone with real technical agency or corporate recruiting and/or account management experience doesn’t stick around long. - Work culture is cliquish and judgmental- because of the CEO/Owner with his over-inflated ego
