The ecommerce department based in Dallas feels more like a frat party than a workplace. Your evaluation is mostly based on your participation in late night drinking events, which are scheduled often. (The department leader actually keeps track of attendance at these events.) If you stay out until last call, you'll score brownie points. Show up late to work the next day, or don't show up to work at all, and you'll get extra credit. Junior team members eager to follow the leader do very well, but professionals trying to focus on the actual job, or who have other commitments after hours, aren't as successful. And the folks in the Paris office (the company headquarters) seem to be oblivious to all of this. If you want to relive your college days, you might enjoy this place. But if you're looking for a true ecommerce career opportunity, steer clear.
