Pros

Most people who aren't graduate students at Rice are generally happy Lots of resources Nice looking campus in the heart of the city Strong research and educational reputation

Cons

Rice is a high output research institution and it's built on the backs of underpaid and overworked graduate students Located in Houston, Texas

Pros

I work at the integrated systems and circuit lab. This is a very international lab, people coming from different countries. It is a very friendly place, and those people are smart: they would help me with things when I do not understand.

Cons

I am an undergraduate student, and it is not likely that undergrad get the chance to publish something. It is critical to have a journal paper or sth like that to enter graduate school, yet the opportunities here are rare.

Pros

Good benefit and working circumstance.

Cons

It is a place working with stress as research scientist. This also depend on the supervisor you work with.
