Pros

Once you're past the probationary period, there's a good bit of job security and benefits. You can leave work at work so it doesn't interfere with your personal life.

Cons

There are lots of departments, but not many opportunities for promotions unless you switch to a completely different department. Morale is low and many employees are not proud to be Richland County employees. And the pay is horrible.

Healthcare is only $25 per month or free if u get the biometric screen, pay is decent, your co workers are friendly, and its Mon-Fri 8-5 & major holidays off with pay

Cons

It is a government office so expect politics to be in EVERYTHING you do. The citizens you serve are idiots or morons or both! Management & elected officials don't kno anything. No career advancement
