Not ideal but could be an opportunity if you need the work

Pros

They know how to raise funding. I personally had a decent experience with this business but I have many friends and former coworkers that did not. I wouldn't consider them a responsible employer but there are worse places to work- just know that you're gambling with your livelihood.

Cons

Inconsistent vision and direction resulting in two huge rounds of layoffs two years apart despite massive amounts of funding. They're a staffing company that masquerades as a tech start up.

Pros

The people are amazing, the mission is compelling, the growth potential is staggering.

Cons

It can be challenging to work here, the complexity and speed others have mentioned are real. It's especially hard for people who come in through acquisition. You need to be an optimist and have a lot of grit.

Pros

So many genuine people. New ideas are encouraged.

Cons

I saw RigUp grow from the infant stage to the end of the teenage years. A ton of growing pains in letting go of what makes a start up company fun in order to mature as a company that is a sound business.
