Pros

Good clients and smart people

Cons

- Ingrained sexism, right from the top: - - They put lots of women in middle management positions, which is presumably because they benefit from these cohorts. Middle management are expected to work very hard, constantly expected to prove themselves - But when middle management face issues with male workers (like performance, i.e. billing 100 hours of client work that is not done) the male leadership have not time, telling them "your expectations are so high" or "I know you're emotional" - It doesn't matter if you have evidence - they don't care about evidence - they'll protect lying coasters in the team - As a result, female middle managers are basically demoralised and gaslit - simply to ensure the guys stay happy - - Some consultants can't consult: - - The most ironic thing is the lack of consulting skill in some peoples - they rush straight to tactical stuff and have no sense of business strategy - A lack of true feedback loops for these people, as people are too stretched or don't have the talent to actually get it - It's tiring and demoralizing for the talented ones - - Senior leadership lacks credibility and representation: - - For a company that talks about a 50/50 aim in representation, it's pretty amusing to see two women on the senior leadership team. If you're a female middle leader in the company, do you feel represented? Not really. - And the women that are there are always critisized by men saying they're only there because they're women.
