Pros

Amazing People - the people are smart and dedicated to doing great work for our clients - across the board regardless of discipline! This is the biggest pro for Rightpoint! Growth - things are growing quickly - team size, project size, complexity and sophistication of the work. That is creating new and exciting opportunities for everyone to do better work and expand their careers. Culture - everyone new hire influences the culture but there are guideposts that Rightpoint aligns with in order to ensure that the agency is staying true to itself. This has been a driver since the beginning and directs where Rightpoint is going.

Cons

Scale - based on the fast growth at Rightpoint the ability to scale the teams/disciplines quickly has been difficult. Competitive markets for top talent make scaling harder.

Great place to be if you're up to the challenge.

Pros

Big enough so that you get to work on impactful projects with household name clients, not so big that you're a cog in the machine. Leadership truly cares about the people - not just the bottom line. Lots of opportunity to make a difference without just getting pigeon holed in a role.

Cons

It's consulting and it's dynamic. Things change as priorities shift and sometimes hard decisions need to be made. That can sometimes result in temporary confusion and toes getting stepped on. There's a lot of work and expectations are high -- you have to remember to manage the balance.

In it for the long haul

Pros

Senior leadership really takes care of people. If you do the right thing, they have your back. If you make a mistake and own up to it, they have your back, if you start struggling, they work with you to get your mojo back. There is a career path for everyone. If you're ambitious and want to change the world, you're supported in your efforts. If cool where you are at and just want to geek out on code, or design, or strategy they don't judge. The culture is phenomenal. Companies always say this, but this is the first place I've been where they put their money where their mouth is. One of the things I tell people is that everyone here is passionate about something - it may actually not be their day to day work at Rightpoint, perhaps for them Rightpoint really is just a job, but even those folks are passionate and bring those passions (like running, or community service, or brewing beer, or reading, or video games, etc, etc, etc) to the office.

Cons

It is a consulting firm. And along with that comes all the challenges of a consulting firm - staffing woes, cranky or unreasonable clients, local travel (it can be a PITA to get to a suburban client if you live in the city, or a north suburban client if you live in the south suburbs), and sometimes you have to put in that extra to get projects across the finish line - not necessarily issues you find when you're in-house.
