      Restructuring company resulting in lost employee lost

      Pros

      A huge pro is that your co-workers are smart and care about each other. Decent benefits for a retail company.

      Cons

      The company has lost the founders caring philosophy for its associates and their work/life balance. The company restructuring is not transparent and is creating fear and stress. People keep disappearing, but it is not slackers leaving. It is people who were productive and well liked. Warehouse Director has misogynistic attitude that has not been stopped by the organization.

      Pros

      If you take the initiative, there are a lot of growth opportunities here. The joy you bring to a team is what you will get back but if you aren’t willing to better your situation than you can be left behind. There is a lot of room for growth, mentorship and fun!

      Cons

      Flat structure with team management. If you do not like to self manage and work closely with others, you will have a hard time. You will not receive a lot of instruction or management.

      Pros

      Rio Grande lives by its 15 principles. It has a genuine culture of care and concern for its customers and employees alike. Rio associates are warm, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It is the best place I've ever worked hands down!

      Cons

      The 401(k) match is low (1.75% match). Participative management can take a bit to get used to - decisions sometimes take longer to make but they're usually well thought out and implemented well.
