Pros
Newer school buildings, pays for CEUs, great sense of community. Generally, the district tries to pay appropriately for SLP experience and provides a stiped for therapists and opportunities for CEUs through the district. SLP community works together well within the district. Opportunities for part-time also offered.
Cons
Very legal-conscious, so lots of considerations focused on avoiding litigation (not always bad, but can feel like you're always doing things to cover the district from legal action. All of this adds time and effort.) You feel like the district doesn't trust you, and during the beginning of Covid required daily documentation of what you did all day. Like you have time to document MORE things when you're trying to create virtual plans.
