Pros

It pretty much has all the benefits of a startup, you will gain a bunch of experience very quickly. This is definitely the place if you want to get better quickly.

Cons

Sometimes you can unfortunately have longer hours of constant coding when doing paired programming.

Pros

- Company leadership is very interested and active in making employee experience and culture the best possible - Fantastic benefits (free healthcare, 10% matching 401k, more) and competitive pay - Strong emphasis on best practices (agile, lean, bias for action, user centered design, psychological safety, etc.) - Clients and products typically have strong missions (saving lives, national defense, killchains, etc.)

Cons

- If in a consulting role & if the client is not on the Agile train, you will be along for a transformation ride
